EVENT CLOCK / IANA ZONE ROUTES / DEVICE-LOCAL
Name the zone, then the time
A time without a named zone is unfinished information. The route desk converts a wall-clock time from one bounded IANA zone to the selected regional reference, including seasonal offset changes and invalid skipped times.

TIME INPUT / THREE CHECKS
Make an announcement resolvable
- 01
State the calendar date, wall-clock time, and named zone together. “8 PM Asian time” is not a usable event time.
- 02
If clocks move forward and the entered wall time never occurs, the converter rejects it and asks for a time after the change.
- 03
If clocks move back and the wall time occurs twice, the converter labels that ambiguity and uses the earlier occurrence.
